McCain Camp Throws a 61 yr old Lady out of his event

This is just ridiculous.  This lady was on public property trying to go into the McCain event that was public.  Then McCain’s secret service people ordered this guy to tell her that shes trespassing.  They even gave her a ticket.  A 61 yr old women all because she wanted to bring a sign in the place that said McCain=Bush.  Shouldn’t McCain want people like her to come to the event to sway her to vote for McCain.  I guess things really change when you have Bush and Karl Rove people working for him.  At the end of the video this women makes a good point that why would republicans be angry with this sign when they voted for Bush twice.  Shouldn’t they be happy that McCain=Bush?

Only commited supporters are allowed at McCain rallies. It always sounds as if they have someone with “Applause” and “Boo” signs, so the audience will give the appropriate responses at the appropriate times. It just like his phoney grins that are written into his speeches. It’s a hoot to watch McRobot.

Unfortunately, I have seen these types in too many venues to agree with any of you. This lady was obviously not there to ask questions of McCain to ascertain why he is different than Bush and what HIS policies are. This type comes to disrupt and holler out at specific times only to interfere with the purpose of the meetings which is to gain information from candidates to make informed decisions. These radical left wing anti-war people are simply there to cause disruption and get their mugs on the next MSM show. I say let them stay outside holding their stupid talking point signs. It’s funny that I never see moderate or conservative folks making asses of themselves at Obama functions on the MSM programs. Perhaps they have a little more decorum and realize that it is inappropriate to be rude and make fools of themselves.

I also want to say that I agree with most of the posts here. If this was Obama then this would be all over the news kindof like the Muslim women in detroit. Obama actually called and apologized to them personally even though it wasn’t his fault or the campaigns policy.
In this case it was higher officials working for the McCain campaign that requested this women to leave a public area and not come into a public event. McCain should apologize or at least pay her ticket.

“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

    Note the last clause.

After living in Egypt for the last 2 years and seeing people from all over the globe, I have found that the rest of the world sees America as laughing stocks with no credibility. This is all because of George Bush. And these foreigners blamed US citizens because we voted for him TWICE. Now the other countries are starting to believe that US citizens are finding the truth about Bush and realize that we were lied to. But if America votes for McCain… you can forget it! We will be hated even more and people will have Zero-Respect for the US if we make the same mistake again by putting McCain in office. America used to once be the greatest country in the world. People respected the US and held US policies in high regard. Now, thanks to these last 7 years, America is a totally laughing stock. And the US will have no credibility and no respect if we follow along the same path as we have by voting for McCain, which would definitely be a 3rd term for Bush. I listened to foreigners from all over the world, from Germany and France, the UK and Russia, from Spain and Italy and South America and more, and none had anything good to say about the US. Each person says that by the US voting for Obama is there any hope for change.

We will never know if this woman was there to “holler out at specific times” since she was not allowed to enter the event. However, it is plausible that she was there to ask McCain questions. Maybe she was there to ask McCain why he insists on distorting Obama’s taxation policies. Americans that earn over approximately 230K annually will experience increased taxes under Obama’s policy. Americans that earn less than that will not have experience a SINGLE tax increase. Somehow, we’ve got to dig our way out of the hole that W placed us in. First…why are the Secret Service Agents getting involved in this? It was NOT a security issue…it was purely an attempt at “political image/staging control”.

Government employees are not supposed to engage in political activities while on the clock.(except for security)

We, the taxpayers, are paying the salaries of those Agents to protect the Senator, not to act as his image consultants.

If Sen McCain wants someone kicked out for strictly political reasons, he needs to have his paid staff or volunteers do it. This was Fraud , Waste and Abuse of taxpayer funds. It should also be seen as an abuse of their power/authority.

Secondly…why are the police so casual about suppressing this woman’s Freedom of Speech? I hope she rapes all of them in court…July 23rd, right…let’s see.

What’s funny is that this is a good example of the old saying, “That shoe pinches on the other foot”,

I’ll bet none of the people who are so outraged today said a word when the Clinton Gestapo not only banned but arrested and beat up peaceful political protesters at his public town hall meetings and rallys. How soon they forget…

Both situations were and are deplorable, but both are a sign of our times and show our willingness to bash opposition when it collides with our worldview.

  42. Posted July 8, 2008 at 4:17 pm | Permalink

All McCain has to do is apologize like Obama did with the Muslim women at his rally even though it wasn’t his or his campaign fault. I do think that this is coming from McCain’s top staffers to do something like this, but all McCain would have to do is apologize.
As far as Clinton Gestapo I don’t know much about the situation especially if it happened like 16 years ago. The issue is that if this happened to Obama then it would be all over the News and since its happened to McCain the MSM has went to sleep.

Andrew, I believe Sue is being facetious; unless, of course, she is one the angry Hilliary diehards!

Either way, I think it is hillarious!! Who in their right mind would want four more years of this administarations destruction of America and world peace? Like the majority of Americans, the world wants a better leader than the president. I voted Repuplican until 2008. I am so sick of seeing our troops killed and injured, I am sick at heart at the maltreatment of our soldiers returning from Iraq and Afghanistan. I am sick and tired of soldiers having to live in virtual pigsties at different military hospitals upon ther return—toilets overflowing, peeling paint, leaky pipes, leaky roofs, etc, and expect them to be grateful!! These folks put their lives on the line, and their comrades continue to do so, many more will get injured, many more will get killed. The Iraq War was an unnecessary war, one in which we should have never engaged. A war which Mr. McCain wants continued engagement. This war has broken our economy, has caused increased fighting between the different factions, and has empowered Iran and Syria to provide the enemny with weapons and ammunition. Do we really want McCain in the White House?? The man is downright dangerous to our country! Mr. BLack, one of McCain’s top people stated if there was an attack on U.S. soil, it would benefit McCain in the race for the Presidency!! I am certain Mr. Black was not just speaking off the top of his head; I am absolutely certain, it has been a subject of serious discussion within the upper echelons of the McCain campaign, and that would include McCain! Absolutely insane and selfish thinking. What about the thousands of deaths and injuries from such an attack? Not to mention the massive destruction of property and resources?? What about the pain to famililies of victims? What about the pain and sorrow such an attack would bring to ALL Americans?? McCain and Black are not concerned about our people, all they are concerned about is that such an attack would be BENEFICIAL TO MCCAIN!! I really hope the rest of America looks at this closely as the words Black uttered are representative of McCain, his campaign and the Repubs. I did not hear any Repubs denouncing Black!!

When several abortion protestors came to a large Obama rally and began yelling from the back of the room, Senator Obama politely asked them not to shout and told them if they would wait, he would be happy to discuss the issue with them. The protestors continued their yelling and the audience began the “yes we can” and “Obama, Obama”. Senator Obama held his arms out and hushed the audience, then said these people had the right to voice their views and told the group they had five minutes to speak their mind, after all, this is what America is all about —-Free Speech. The protestors, went on for a couple of minutes and left peacefully. Can you imagine the chaos had Senator Obama “forced” or “ordered” them out?? Kudos to the good Senator of Illinois for handling a potential “riot” in such an understanding and gracious way!!

What’s going on here, is that John McCain has so much shady activity in his past he’s trying to keep it covered up. Those laws that Gothicicecream was talking about don’t even come close to applying to that lady. She wasn’t causing any trouble, and that meeting was open to the public, not just Republicans who like John McCain.
