In a town hall meeting McCain referred to Obama’s health care plans is “Hillarycare” McCain said,
“My friends, we’ve seen this movie before,” McCain said. “It was called ‘HillaryCare’ back in 1993, and we’re not going to do it again. We’re not going to have the government take over the health care system in America.”
This is just getting too funny. McCain has been courting and having surrogates lie to Hillary supporters so that they blindly support McCain. Then McCain attacks Hillary’s efforts for healthcare back in 93, this guy is a joke. He does this while trying to attack Obama’s healthcare plan. As a former Hillary supporter, Im not surprised that McCain would show his real feelings about Hillary. People might not remember but, McCain attack Chelsea Clinton for being ugly and compared her to Janet Reno. McCain is a joke, and needs to be exposed. McCain’s healthcare plan wouldn’t even cover people with pre-conditions, and Its the exact same plan that Bush proposed, and that says it all. At least Obama and Hillary are doing something different rather then trying the same healthcare plans that caused millions of middle class Americans to go without healthcare. Good job McCain for attacking Hillary, and thanks for exposing yourself and your own failed policies.

So Hillary promises a program that has ZERO chance of actually happening, and McCain is the bad guy for making fun of the plan? Are women really as stupid as their acting in this situation? No wonder today’s children have their heads up their #$%es.
Yeah I never thought hillary’s plan would get through either. And its kindof an insult to call obama’s plan Hillarycare. Obama’s plan is more bipartisan and doesnt go as far as hillary’s did.
Still Yilian is right, if your trying to kiss Hillary supporters A$$ then you dont attack the person they were supporting
And being a women Mike I can tell you women want universal healthcare, except me, but most women do and we did not mess up kids lives, men expecting women to do all the work has messed up kids lives.
As a women who was a hillary supporter, I applaude hillarys efforts to get healthcare passed. And if Obamas heathcare is anything close to hillarys healthcare plan, which it is, then im voting for obama
and Mike your being sexists
Mike, you are a sexist. Women are the ones who take care of children not mess them up. Its only when men become uninvovled in their childs life is when the kids get screwed up.
I also agree with Heather, I was not on board with Obama. Now all this stuff is coming out about mccain and his horrible record and I can no longer abandon my values as a hillary supporter and vote for mccain. Im voting for obama, mccain is whats wrong with american politics.
“Women are the ones who take care of children not mess them up. Its only when men become uninvovled in their childs life is when the kids get screwed up”.
Nothing sexist in that even keeled observation. We do indeed live in a world of June Cleavers and Charlie Mansons.
thanks JW for completely missing the point. I said it when men “become uninvolved” not involved men. JW get over yourself.
I agree with gretchen. But anyways mccain was one of the republicans that fought against hillarys healthcare effort which caused it to not be passed. So any Hillary supporters would be irrational to vote for McCain. But most of the hillary supporters that support McCain were only voting for her because shes a women, Obama weren’t going to get those votes anyways.
Just Google “mccain marvelous gorilla” and see just how “feminist” McCain is.
Or Google “mccain trollop cindy” to see what he calls his wife in front of reporters. (Hint: “trollop” is not the nastiest thing he calls her.)
If McCain is a joke that needs to be exposed, what pray tell does that make Obama?
What’s that? Obama has been exposed on literally hundreds of lies, gaffes, horrible judgment calls or actually no judgment whatsoever.

Oh yeah, believe in that. McCain’s not perfect but there’s really nothing to expose except the fact he’s a liberal on many issues which should delight most Dems.
Or are you still upset Hillary didn’t get the nom? Looks like she is still quietly planning on making a final run in the Fall.
Whoops creeping, read comment policy, Comments should be related to the post your commenting on sorry. Would prefer if future commentors did the same.

Hillary’s plan is socialism, which is totally the opposite of what our country was founded upon. Obama’s plan was semi-socialism, and sounded much better than Hillary’s plan in the primaries, but now he is adopting much of Hillary’s plan. I understand your premise of the article, McCain is trying to court Hillary supporters and then he goes and attacks her ideas…not a good idea! However, I think it is a far stretch to automatically claim that McCain’s plan is exactly the same as Bush’s, all you are trying to do is paint a picture of a 3rd Bush and it is not. I would love for you to layout the similarities to the two plans (Bush vs. McCain) other than both being a Free Market System. Trust me, you will not see me passionately defending McCain, as he is more liberal than I like, but compared to Barack Obama, I can at least agree with him on many issues. However, since it is easy to say something is identical I would like to see where you see the similarities. The problem with McCain trying to court Hillary voters is, unless he agrees with her positions, what he is doing here is inevitable, he is going to have to stand opposite of her and her voters, so he might as well not even try to court them.
The Health Care system will never work under Government care. I don’t know how old you are, but I am 27 and will probably not have the Social Security money that I have been investing into the pot since I started working as a teenager. That is thanks in large to democrats who have used the money to serve as a safety net for their other programs. That is why I strongly support privatizing Social Security. Why in the world do people think that is a bad idea? The Government officials think so because without our money they are powerless. Its the same with Healthcare, they will bankrupt it just like they did Social Security, and if you understood how socialized medicine worked you would know that it is inevitable that it will turn out as it has in Canada and the European Countries (Hundreds of Thousands of people coming to the US a year for treatment).
McCain is a third term bush, obviously you haven’t been reading McCain’s plans because you would know that.
Obama’s plan is more reasonable for those who want universal healthcare but is able to accept Obama’s plan. You guys may not want all Americans to have healthcare, but I do and Obamas plan gets close enough to that even though illegal immigrants will be left out, of his plan I believe. But Im kind of conservative when it comes to illegal immigrants so that doesn’t bother me. But legal Americans should have a choice of whether or not they want healthcare and Obama provides that.
I agree with Obama’s plan
Its like he incorporates some of hillary’s plan but still makes it so that health insurance is part of the free market. So insurance companies can stay in business, like my uncle’s company, and for people who cant get health insurrance or it cost too much they could just buy into a much cheaper plan provided by the governement, its a win win situation under Obama plan.
under mcCains plan people with existing preconditions wont be able to get insurance under his plan which is the same as Bush’s current plan. You don’t need a degree in political science to see that McCain is going to be a third bush term.
I was on another blog yesterday, and was giving my thoughts on how some of the Hillary supporters wanted to vote for McCain instead of Obama.
A young lady replied to my e-mail and she was as nasty as she could be. I couldn’t decide if she was a McCain supporter or a Hillary supporter who switched to McCain. Either way, she got personal and either couldn’t or didn’t give any reasons for supporting him. Her hatred of the Obamas was alarming, and showed that some of the anti-Obama sentiment goes far beyond disagreement with his policies.
I ended up telling her that she was too emotional, and her hate was clouding her judgment. Not even the fact that McCain paid Hillary one of the worst disrespect by calling Chelsea
ugly seemed to penetrate.
Then I gave her a few reasons why I am voting for Obama, one of which he has voted for veterans’ benefits and McCain has voted against them.
But at the end of the day, there is no reasoning with someone so consumed with hate.
