Im not the biggest supporter of unions but I must say kudos to AFL-CIO. They are the champions against everything false about Obama.  They are the warriors of fighting the smears against Obama.  They are the wise elders of the village teaching the village to fight against the wild boar.  Maybe the last one is a bit much, but they are taking their actions to the mailboxes of the American people.

Today AFL-CIO annouced that they are sending mailers telling voters who Obama really is.  This mailer is great, because it peaks voters interest who don’t know about Obama.  Its starts off.. “HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT BARACK OBAMA?”  I mean that question alone makes those ill-informed voters curious.  And then towards the bottom it says “A MESSAGE FROM YOUR UNION”, this makes the mailer seem like it important, which will make voters read it even if they don’t care about Obama.

In the mailer they debunk the misconceptions out there about Obama.  They mention how he does wear a flag pin.  They also tell voters that Obama is a Christian. That he was sworn in on the Bible (not the Koran). Also that he was born in the United States and he places his hand over his heart when reciting the Pledge of Allegiance.  All these things, I think voter know but if they don’t then they weren’t going to vote for Obama anyways.

They also lay out Obama’s economic plan in the mailer which is very constructive.  Hopefully this mailer does work and Im happy that finally a group decides to be constructive with their support of Obama.
