Lets start with Michelle Obama’s speech. This speech was absolutely amazing. There was so many people in the audience especially women, who teared up. It was very emotional and real. Best part was their kids at the end, mainly Sasha taking the microphone. Kids were adorable. Whether your a suburban career mom or a middle class family trying support your family, you will like this speech.
I was actually watching c-span, which everyone should watch for full convention coverage. After the convention c-span actually have callers, call in and give their opinion. One lady said that she wasn’t going to vote for Obama or McCain. Then she goes on to say that, she couldn’t believe she was saying this but shes going to support Michelle after watching this speech, mainly because she feels she can connect with them now. So, Michelle’s speech was very effective. I still think people should vote on the issues, but I know there are a lot of people who want to feel a personal connection with a president. People need to know that their president will be just like them…normal. Hopefully people watch this in its entirety and with an open mind. Check out the speech.
Next thing is Ted Kennedy’s speech. This was an extremely inspirational speech. I defintiely look up to the Kennedy family. There was a video tribute at the beginning and then Ted Kennedy spoke. As you all know Ted Kennedy is fighting a brain tumor. He gave that speech tonight with so much energy and compassion that you couldn’t tell he was fighting a brain tumor. It would have been hard pressed to find a dry eye in the place.
Kennedy gave a speech about what he believes in, what America stands for, and of course, that he wants Obama in the White House. He keyed in on health care and being a voice for Americans who don’t have one. If you thought Ted Kennedy was just another politician, then your mind was changed. Watch this inspirational tribute and speech by Ted Kennedy.
