This guy, reggaeton artist, Daddy Yankee endorsed McCain and made an appearance with McCain at his townhall meeting. I suspect Mr. Yankee’s album sales to go down.
Interesting UPDATE apparently Daddy Yankee didn’t pass Obama’s vetting test, Ben Smith reports,
There’s some amusement today about John McCain’s endorsement by the Puerto Rican performer Daddy Yankee, who has an assault charge and some some seriously racy lyrics.
There’s a bit more backstory, though. A Democratic Party source tells me a representative for Daddy Yankee approached Obama’s Latino outreach staffers earlier this year about possibly endorsing Obama.
But he didn’t pass the vetting, and Obama’s aides said they weren’t interested in his support. So, apparently, he moved over to McCain.
Don’t worry Daddy Yankee theres other political fishes in the sea for you to endorse. Daddy Yankee would have been better off endorsing Bob Barr.
But, is McCain cool enough to appear with Daddy Yankee in his music video
I do not condone dog fighting. The song is catchy though. Heres an interesting tidbit from JedReport,
But in introducing Daddy Yankee, McCain highlighted a song titled “Gasolina” which is not exactly about high energy prices. In fact, it’s a song about sexual intercourse (to put it clinically).
Let’s look at it this way: McCan held a campaign event at which he touted a song about screwing, and he did so in front of an audience of teens.

seriously how out of touch can one man be? To think that “Gasolina” is about energy independence? Riiiight…
Yeah, my grandmother wouldn’t even think that a rap artist named Daddy Yankee would write a song about energy independence.
LOL Wonder what his Evangelical supporters would think of this? Was also funny when the rapper dude made the immigration comment guess he’s not aware that McCain flip/flopped on that as well.
