O’Reilly Is Coming Out With A Book About Obama

It’s about that time again for another O’Reilly book…in 2010  From HuffPo,

Bill O’Reilly, celebrating his 100th consecutive month as cable news’ top-rated host with a media blitz, told New York Post columnist (and News Corp cousin) Cindy Adams about his next book — and it’s about President Obama.

“My next book, out the latter part of 2010, is on Obama,” he said. “He’s becoming a historical figure not because he’s black, but because his liberal agenda is taking the country in a direction we’ve never been before.”

O’Reilly recently boasted, “Obama is sending my ratings through the roof.”

His latest book, A Bold Fresh Piece of Humanity, has been on the New York Times bestsellers list for 23 weeks, where it currently ranks 8th.

I was thinking about what the gist of O’Reilly’s book could be.  So, here are some key points I think will be covered in this book.

  1. How great Bill O’Reilly is
  2. O’Reilly is gods gift to all of us
  3. Mention of free speech and justification of his ridiculous comments during the 2008 election
  4. He’ll throw in some lovely comments about his new found love of Hillary Clinton
  5. Then he will mention some Obama campaign things
  6. He’ll try to convince people that Obama was scared to come on his show
  7. O’Reilly will then proceed to talk about how great his show is at providing viewers with non-partisan view points.  He might even call himself the king at being “fair and balanced”
  8. I suspect he will mention the liberal media and how “harsh” they were to Palin over Obama
  9. This will then lead into a hidden attack on Keith Olbermann and MSNBC
  10. I’m sure since O’Reilly “knows it all”, he’ll probably mention how the Obama or McCain campaign could have done better.
  11. There will be a reiteration on how great O’Reilly is, because he doesn’t want us to forget.
  12. Then he’ll talk about the liberal agenda which he’ll say is:
    1. socialism
    2. socialism
    3. communism
    4. socialism
    5. socialism??

In my opinion, this is what I predict the book will be about.  Now I’m not saying don’t read the book, but just know whos writing it and his agenda.  He’s already boasted about Obama bringing in high ratings and thus money for him, so we know O’Reilly is just creating controversy to make money.

I think what you’re missing here is that O’Reilly may have developed some real respect for Obama. O’Reilly was drinking the “we’re going socialist” cool aid as much as anyone at Fox News up until he interviewed Obama. Since then he’s been noticeably more tolerant. This may be because O’Reilly’s smarter than the rest and recognizes the president’s still popular and is just waiting… or not. Who knows, but there’s little reason now to think O will be unpopular in 2010.

62 Million people NEVER thought Obama was popular, and never will. They voted against him, and no political action he’s taken would have moved them over. Nor will Michelle’s fabled wardrobe.

Considering Obama’s perceived popularity and narrow margin of victory over a lame Republican, a bit of caution might be in order.

O’reilly wouldn’t need to exist if there were balance in the media. Ask the newspapers why they are really failing?

    Good list.

No. 13: Forward by Bernard Goldberg stating how everyone will benefit mentally from reading Bill’s book.

I also agree with Marc. Bill changed his tune a little after interviewing Obama. Only thing is I just can’t quite tell if he’s truly genuine about it or he’s just positioning himself differently from the rest of Fox News lineup.
