Which is whinny, childish and disrespectful people with no class or sense of civility. President Obama gave a speech last night on health care reform. The lack of respect was profound and astounding. I don’t care who the President is but I generally think that there’s a certain level of respect that you show the President. And this is especially true when he’s giving a speech on one of the most important policy issues of our time, health care reform.
The GOP last night acted like buffoons. Let’s start with the top buffoon, Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC). Obama was addressing a misconception and lie that’s being spread by the republican party that illegal immigrants will be covered by health care reform. This is a blatant lie and in fact this is a statement in HR 3200,
SEC. 246. NO FEDERAL PAYMENT FOR UNDOCUMENTED
ALIENS.
Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments
for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are
not lawfully present in the United States.

I’m absolutely disgusted at this mob mentality that now republican congressman are displaying. So are a lot of other people. Since Rep. Joe Wilson’s heckle, his democratic opponent, has raised 200K+ ; (update 400K+) Also, for what it’s worth, theres also a new site, “Joe Wilson is your pre-existing condition”. Also during the speech, some republican congressmen started holding up signs. I’m pretty sure none of these buffoons even read the bill yet they’re so quick to shoot it down.
Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) also held up signs that read “What Bill?”. It’s absolutely ridiculous the uncivility of these people. For what it’s worth, Joe Wilson did apologize for his outburst but the damage is done. He and the other buffoons showed America what type of party they’ve become. From the outrage over Pres. Obama’s, “Stay in school” speech to now what happened last night, I hope many Americans realize the GOP has become a disgraceful party.

I can’t stand when fringe groups give themselves legitimate sounding names like National Association of Rural Landowners. I have a feeling the crowd size won’t be that big but if it is then I hope many more show up in opposition to the tea party.
Wilson is obviously deep into the fringe movement. He has shown that he doesn’t want to listen to facts. It’s such a shame.
