Whoops Open Mic, Reporters Caught Bashing Palin’s Speech

Posted on

Sarah Palin continued her spread of idiocy by going to CSU Stanislaus to make a speech about various topics similar to the Tea Party Movement.  After her speech reporters were caught on an open mic critiquing Palin’s speech.

Even though, they were saying it in an arrogant-bashing sort of way, they were critiquing her speech.  But this just gives conservatives another reason to blame the liberal media for Palin’s lack of knowledge on the issues and failures.  However, this is just good entertainment.

Lets Pray The Oil Spill Away

Posted on

So to my surprise some people think it’s possible to just pray and the oil spill goes away.  Why, who are these people doing the praying? Sarah Palin and other politicians,

This is from CNN,

While cleanup crews and technical teams continue efforts to stop crude gushing into the Gulf of Mexico, Louisiana lawmakers are proposing a different approach: prayer.

State senators designated Sunday as a day for citizens to ask for God’s help dealing with the oil disaster.

“Thus far efforts made by mortals to try to solve the crisis have been to no avail,” state Sen. Robert Adley said in a statement released after last week’s unanimous vote for the day of prayer. “It is clearly time for a miracle for us.”

The resolution names Sunday as a statewide day of prayer in Louisiana and calls on people of all religions throughout the Gulf Coast “to pray for an end to this environmental emergency, sparing us all from the destruction of both culture and livelihood.”

Now I realize lawmakers aren’t actively involved in fixing the oil spill.  What more can they do except set up committees and whine?  Oh, I know….they could actually, and I mean literally, go to a beach and clean some rocks, rescue some animals, suction some oil up…etc,.  They might get a little dirty, but it’ll be better than stand around doing nothing but pray.

Giving the false idea that humans can’t clean up their own mess but instead we have to wait for some miracle is ridiculous.  Oil spills happen, they take a hell of a long time to clean up but it’s possible to clean it up.  Here’s an idea…how about figuring out a way to make it accessible for people to easily be involved in the clean up effort.  Or how about figuring out a way to employ and train people for this clean up effort.

Lets not use religion as a crutch for this.  It’s bad enough we already have whacked out people in high positions promoting conspiracy theories, we don’t need bible thumpers throwing their religion as a solution to everything.  Geesh, give the human race a little credit that we can solve our own problems.

Rand Paul Seems To Think Most Americans Abuse Unemployment

Posted on

Rand Paul is still on his quest to screw over Americans.  He’s now going after the unemployed.  This is from McClatchy,

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Rand Paul on Friday urged Americans who have been unemployed for many months to consider returning to the workforce in less desirable jobs rather than continue relying on government unemployment assistance.

“In Europe, they give about a year of unemployment. We’re up to two years now in America,” Paul said on Sue Wylie’s WVLK-AM 590 radio program.

“As bad as it sounds, ultimately we do have to sometimes accept a wage that’s less than we had at our previous job in order to get back to work and allow the economy to get started again,” Paul said. “Nobody likes that, but it may be one of the tough love things that has to happen.”

Paul was responding to a question from Wylie about Thursday’s Senate Republican filibuster of a $120 billion package of additional jobless benefits and state aid. Tens of thousands of Americans will have exhausted their unemployment benefits this month without that extension.

Paul said he supports the filibuster. If the Senate thinks the bill is necessary, it needs to find the money to pay for it elsewhere in the federal budget rather than add to the $13 trillion national debt, he said.

“It’s all a matter of making priorities,” Paul said. “Some tough decisions will have to be made.”

So I can assume Rand Paul thinks many hardworking Americans that lost their jobs during the Bush Recession are just sitting on their couches, watching TV, eating Cheetos, collecting government funds.  Also, how many low paying jobs does Rand Paul think are out there for the taking?  Many have already taken lower paying jobs.  There’s not much else out there in many parts of America.

He doesn’t support jobless benefits and state aid but he offers no other credible solution as to how to help people other than “tough love”.  Paul said, “It’s all a matter of making priorities”.  What does he mean?!  Jobless Americans aren’t a priority?  Leaving Americans that have worked hard but lost their jobs due to bad government and wall street practices aren’t a priority?  Last time I checked, Americans with jobs was number one priority as they help the economy grow and America prosper.

Rand Paul is showing a complete lack of understanding on the state of America.  His method of “tough love” is just another way republicans talk down to everyday Americans that lost their jobs because of republican practices during the Bush Administration.  Continuing to kick people while they’re down by calling them lazy and simply telling them they need to find a job will not solve the problem.

Don’t Blame GOP For SC Alvin Greene’s Primary Win

Posted on

They are expected to place plants in political races.  That’s how dirty and sneaky the republican party is.  The blame needs to go with the Democratic Party in South Carolina.  If you haven’t heard this story yet, Alvin Greene mysteriously won the Democratic Primary for Senate.  How did he win? Nobody knows, I’m not even sure Greene himself knows.  He didn’t campaign, according to him people know him through “word of mouth”.

Rep. Clyburn thinks he’s a plant, most likely placed by the republican party.  I completely understand the skepticism, lets think about it.  The guy is unemployed and has felony charges against him.  He lacks good oratory skills and he barely campaigned and few people know his plans and he can’t even speak in details regarding issues like education.  He is a for sure loser against republican Jim DeMint.  It also seems odd that this is happening during a time when incumbent Jim DeMint (R-SC) would be most vulnerable.

However, no matter how likely Alvin Greene was put there by republican plants, this is still the Democratic Party’s fault.  They dropped the ball, not paying attention to what’s going on.  The guy has felony charges against him.  How did they not know this before? How did they not stop him running in the SC democratic primary race?  How did they not know that republicans would attempt to place a plant?

These are all the questions that should be going through their head.  And lets just say Alvin Greene wasn’t a plant.  Could he have just won because no one knows who the hell the most qualified candidate was? Yeah, his name was Vic Rawl….

Just in case you’re a voter in South Carolina and never heard of this guy you possibly voted for, here’s your first opportunity to get to know him.

Yes, whether he is a plant by the republican party or not.  Lets blame this foolery on the South Carolina Democratic Party.
