So, I go over to my YouTube subscriptions and see this lovely video of Sarah Palin supporters being interviewed outside Borders for her book signing, then I check my email to find a person that has visited my blog thinks I’m attacking Palin supporters. I said, damn right I’m going after Palin supporters cause they’re stupid enough to buy into her BS.   Why would I blame Palin for trying to make money off idiots, that’s capitalism, right?

So, now I have a video to show you that might disturb you or might make you laugh…a bit of both for me. Here’s Sarah Palin fans interviewed,

So, Inhofe (R-OK) told Boxer (D-CA) that, “we won, you lost, get a life”.

In my opinion, if that line applies to democrats when discussing climate change, then that line should apply to republicans in most if not all the issues brought to the forefront.  We won, you lost the election, get over it.  That means, we get the best health care bill through, that means, we get immigration taken care of…etc,.  Inhofe has no business throwing about that line if he doesn’t want it to apply to his party of “No”.

I like this zinger by Boxer when she tells Inhofe’s he’s not making the rules and elections have consequences,

Maybe that’s something else republicans should take into account.

A recent poll came out showing the majority of republicans think ACORN stole the election for then candidate Barack Obama.  They must be forgetting that we were fighting two wars, the economy was in the tank, gas prices were $3+ and George Bush’s ratings were in the gutter.  Lets not forget that McCain was a poor candidate, and sure he was doing well at one point, but that ended with the introduction of Sarah Palin.  She scared a lot of people and sort of proved that America doesn’t accept this form of extreme conservatism.  Now I’m no fan of ACORN but, considering the margin by which Obama won and the fact that republicans can’t provide any evidence ACORN was able to steal the election for Obama, my only conclusion is that the republican party is delusional.

Instead of scapegoating ACORN for all of their failures, how about improving the party.  Clearly the party is failing on many levels.  With the fracture in the party, (moderate) republicans verses conservatives (or moderate versus extremists), it’s clear the party of No hasn’t done much to improve itself.  To this day you even have conservative like Hoffman (NY-23 candidate) blaming ACORN for winning the election for Owens.  Just like Sarah Palin, NY-23 rejected his extremist conservatism.  That’s the problem, extreme conservatism.  Just look at the failures of the republican party this year,

• Republicans alternative economic plan contained few numbers or estimates
• Republican alternative health care plan savings weren’t estimated because they don’t know how to calculate that under CBO rules
• Public doesn’t have any idea what their health care plan is…probably because they were too busy yelling
• Teabaggers invade street corners with racist and offensive signs and then screaming racist insults.
• Michael Steele constantly fails the republican party with his constant gaffes about race and couldn’t even stand up to Limbaugh
• Obviously over-exaggerated outrage over Obama’s education speech, health care commercials and the president bowing in respect to foreign leaders
• GOP sides with insurance companies which have made a fool of themselves throughout the summer and only made their customers mad.

This is only a short list of the crap that happened over the summer and feel free to add to this list of failures.  My suggestion is that the republicans look at themselves and realize ACORN didn’t and doesn’t need to steal the election for democrats.  Republicans are did a good job at keeping democrats in office.

So Sarah Palin helped to create this fringe mob that has now turned on her for not signing their books.  Just like most of the jobs Palin had, she quit book signing before the job was done.  She had like 300 more books to sign, and she even made the rightwing nutjob’s kids cry cause their rightwing lunatic fringe of a parent made them stand outside for 3 hours in rain just so their rightwing nutjob overzealous fan of a parent can get his book signed by Lord Palin.  This is from, theindychannel,

“We gave up our entire workday, stayed in the cold. My kids were crying,” said one man. “They went home with my wife. She was out here in the freezing cold all day. I feel like I don’t want to support Sarah.”

For those who did get to meet Palin, no personal signatures or pictures were allowed. Those who didn’t get their books signed went home only with a piece of paper with Palin’s signature.

We were told she would sign book for the first 1000 people. Not so. The event ended promptly at 9:00pm, though there were still at least 150 people left. Wasted my day, wasted money on a babysitter, and wasted my money on this book.

The Stans were out to stand in a long ass line to buy a book and see Sarah Palin.   Norah O’Donnell, from MSNBC had the displeasure of talking to a couple of airheads in line.  Check out the girl, when asked about Sarah Palin’s policy she answers, “the constitution”….and she’s completely confused about whether Palin was for the bailout.  We now know the generic answer when you ask a conservative a question…”the constitution”,

This first video is of a pro-amnesty group protesting.  Apparently, according to a rightwing youtube channel, a cameraman teabagger comes over to capture their amnesty protest on video…whatever, doesn’t matter what the guy’s position was.  One guy that looks like someone you don’t want to mess with hits the cameraman with a sign.  Lets keep the violence to a minimum Teabaggers and Amnesty whackos, phuleeze

For what it’s worth, my position is that I’m for immigration reform but not full-on amnesty.  This next video is of teabaggers and/or anti-illegal immigrant ralliers getting un-welcomed visitors …. Neo-Nazis.  After all the times, that I fairly called out anti-immigration rallies as being racist, it would be terribly wrong of me not to commend these ralliers for not approving of the Neo-Nazi message.

LMAO, so this is how bad the republican party is, they’re even scared of blacks who are also republican.  Michael Steele, RNC Chairman, always appears to make the most gaffes when he’s pandering to get African-American support to his party.  But this time, he wasn’t saying blacks should come to the GOP because of fried chicken, this time he’s trying to be “relatable” by saying, white republicans are scared of him too.

Here’s the transcript,

MARTIN: How do you — granted, a popular president got 95% of the black vote — you got any shot at getting black voters and if so what are the two issues that speaks to black voters for Republican have a shot at them?

STEELE: I mean, Sheila Johnson was on his team. I mean, that was a big deal. That’s because he engaged her and she helped navigate him through that relationship.

Steele = the gift that keeps on giving.  With that said, Steele is probably speaking the truth.  I mean, look at the republican party!  It’s a party of old white men, GOP is definitely out of the mainstream and don’t represent America.  So, I say to Steele…keep speaking the truth!

Thank you Murdoch!!  The media news of the day is that Murdoch is getting more serious about blocking Google from listing his sites.   Bad business decision but unless teabaggers are willing to spend their money to call people socialist on sites like Fox News and The Sun, then they might need to look for another venue.  Murdoch also owns Wall Street Journal and you already have to pay in order to access full news articles.  Google has responded, basically saying if he and anyone else don’t want their sites to appear in the search engine then they can request those sites be removed.

If you ask me this is a great day for those that are sick of the misinformation coming out of NewCorps.  Fox News shouldn’t even be a labeled as a news site.  Maybe this would force the Tea Baggers to get their news from better news sources.  Too bad Murdoch’s greed ass couldn’t put Fox News on a premium cable station, maybe then the Rednecks would be forced to switch their teevee stations to something substantive.

Update below: Rep. Cao’s interview on CNN after the vote.

Before I head out for a week or so, I wanted to blog something about Rep. Joseph Cao (R-La).  He represents a heavily democratic New Orleans district and was the lone republican to vote for the house bill that passed tonight (Nov. 7. 09).  Those supporting health care reform definitely saw Cao as a great guy, I’m sure most haven’t even heard of him until his vote.  This same night he also got a lot of backlash from conservatives thinking he should have followed the rest of his clueless party and vote no on health care reform.

Fortunately for the people in his district, Cao chose to be a representative and represent his constituents which heavily support health care reform and are heavily democratic.  ABC has some insights on why Cao even voted for the legislation,

ABC News has learned that the White House is making an 11th-hour push to convince Cao to be the sole Republican to vote “yes” on the Democratic health care bill.  Cao has been promising presidential support for additional financial aid for his New Orleans district.   The sources say Cao has had several conversations with White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel and health care advisor Nancy-Ann Deparle

Congressional sources tell ABC News that Republican Whip Eric Cantor is also making a big push, trying to convince Cao to join all other House Republicans in voting no. Cantor has met with Cao several times today.

Cao is telling his colleagues that he is still undecided.

Cao’s New Orleans district is one of the most Democratic in America.  He was elected in a something of a fluke last year, defeating William “Cold Cash” Jefferson, who is about to go to jail following his conviction on multiple corruption charges.

Coa is pro-life, so the only way he could be in play is if the Stupak amendment banning abortion funding passes.

But of course, doing good for his constituents  isn’t good enough for some conservatives and Tea Baggers alike.  They have been acting like anything but adults.  From vandalizing his Wikipedia page,

To tweeting violent acts,

To blasting his facebook page with threats of getting him out of office and so forth,

Of course in between all this were those who support health care reform congratulating and thanking him for his vote.  Here’s Cao’s statement on why he voted the way he did tonight,

Tonight, Congressman Anh “Joseph” Cao (LA-2) voted in favor of the comprehensive health reform bill, H.R. 3962, the Affordable Health Care for America Act.

Of his vote, Cao said:  “Tonight, I voted to keep taxpayer dollars from funding abortion and to deliver access to affordable health care to the people of Louisiana.

Cao said:  “I read the versions of the House [health reform] bill.  I listened to the countless stories of Orleans and Jefferson Parish citizens whose health care costs are exploding – if they are able to obtain health care at all.  Louisianans needs real options for primary care, for mental health care, and for expanded health care for seniors and children.

The bill passed the House at a 220-215 vote.

Cao said:  “Today, I obtained a commitment from President Obama that he and I will work together to address the critical health care issues of Louisiana including the FMAP crisis and community disaster loan forgiveness, as well as issues related to Charity and Methodist Hospitals.  And, I call on my constituents to support me as I work with him on these issues.

Cao said:  “I have always said that I would put aside partisan wrangling to do the business of the people.  My vote tonight was based on my priority of doing what is best for my constituents.

H.R. 3962 included the Stupak-Pitts Amendment, which will keep in place current federal law on abortion funding and conscience protections for health care providers.

Cao said:  “Before the Stupak-Pitts amendment was adopted as part of this health reform bill, the bill failed to explicitly include the longstanding policy prohibiting federal funding of elective abortion and plans which include elective abortion.”

According to a letter from the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops dated November 7, 2009, “The [Stupak-Pitts] Amendment will not affect coverage of abortion in nonsubsidized health plans, and will not bar anyone from purchasing a supplemental abortion policy with their own funds.”

Cao said:  “Thank to the Stupak-Pitts Amendment, taxpayer dollars will not go to supporting elective abortions, and for thousands of my constituents, this was a top priority.  By incorporating this amendment into the health reform bill, my colleagues and I made this bill better, and that is an achievement of which I will always be proud.”

Archbishop Gregory M. Aymond, the archbishop of New Orleans, said:  “I am grateful to Congressman Cao for his courage and determination to defend life. I appreciate his work to prevent abortion from being included in health care reform and for protecting conscience rights of health care professionals. I – and, I am sure, many in New Orleans would join me – [I] appreciate Congressman Cao’s commitment to the people of New Orleans.”

The bottom line on all this is that though, I commend and thank Cao for his vote, the bill would have passed without his vote.  And to make that statement simpler for conservatives…health care reform would have passed in the house if he had voted against it.  Conservatives are acting like his vote meant a lot.  Though, I suppose they could be mad because the health care legislation passage is now technically a bipartisan bill.  Now I’m sure he has received plenty of threats from conservatives on his phone already, that’s how conservatives and republicans handle losing (no surprise there!).  I’m just hoping that when Limbaugh and Beck go on their daily rant that Cao keeps up the good fight and stands firmly by his vote.  Simply put, unlike some conservatives and blue-dog democrats, Cao was doing his job, representing people in his district.  Too bad we don’t have more representatives like that.  Rep. Cao is ok in my book, quite simply, he got what he wanted.  A health care bill that doesn’t fund abortions….though that abortion thing is another story to be debated on another day.  Here’s Cao’s information if you’d like to complain or congratulate him,

The House is having their debate on the health care legislation today.  One GOP member decided to use a baby as a prop.  Usually, I wouldn’t care, but this baby is a genius.  Apparently, the baby, named “Maddy” (I’m assuming this is a celebrity baby based on that awkward name), he knows all about the health care legislation and wanted to talk about it on the House floor as well as play with the microphone,
